F*?k Yeah! Fest

F*?k Yeah! Fest

Next week, Los Angeles will play host to the third annual Fuck Yeah Fest. The event was curated by Keith Morris (Black Flag, Circle Jerks) and will take place in August 19th and 20th. In addition to musical performances, the fest will also feature a stand up comedy show organized by Jonah Ray and an art show with the work of fifty artists and photographers.

The lineup runs the gamut from bands like Envy and Darker My Love to Chuck Ragan from Hot Water Music and the Bronx. To celebrate this impressive assembly of bands, Fuck Yeah Fest has, under some duress, agreed to give away some tickets and other miscellaneous Swag (tm) to a few lucky Punknews.org readers.

Island Contests
The Bronx (Ouija Board)

The Bronx (Ouija Board)

Despite our obvious love of instruments and high tech gizmos, one thing we always love giving away is weird, unique swag. In this case, our friends in The Bronx want to celebrate the release of their Island Records debut, The Bronx by giving two lucky winners the most accursed of prizes.

That's right, we're giving away two Ouija Boards! And not just any Ouija Board, but unique Bronx-themed boards that coincide with the artwork of their album. It's all quite remarkable, and you can use it to speak with the devil, or at least the ghost of Abe Lincoln if he's busy.

Dead To Me

Dead To Me recently released their new album Cuban Ballerina on Fat Wreck Chords. To celebrate the band and label are giving away a few prize packs to some lucky Punknews readers. The grand prize winner will even get their hands on some super secret vegan recipe's straight from the kitchen of Dead To Me's Chicken.

Solid State Contests
Underoath (30GB iPod)

Underoath (30GB iPod)

Let me clue you in on something for a second; it turns out these Apple iPod's are pretty hot these days. You can put music on them, and then carry said music around with you. It's quite remarkable.

In other news, Underoath recently released a new full length, Define the Great Line, which, according to our reviewer, is an album that is both "sincere" and "ambitious."

How are these two seemingly disparate things related you ask? Well, it turns out that Underoath would like to give you an iPod. See how that all tied together? Cool, right? Besides the iPod, the band and label are providing an Underoath Prize Pack, which will probably go pretty nicely with that new iPod.
