Henry Rollins (Black Flag/Rollins Band)

With his recently reunited post-Black Flag musical endeavour The Rollins Band set to hit the road tomorrow, it seemed like a good time to have a quick chat with Henry Rollins and talk about the tour, his ongoing television show and for no reason whatsoever, William Shatner.

The legendary musician and popular spoken word artist will be on the road for a month with support from the equally legendary X and punk rock upstarts Riverboat Gamblers. Dubbed the As the World Burns tour, it will kick off Cabazon.

Adeline Interviews
The Living End

The Living End

When Adeline Records offered us a chance to speak with Australia's favorite sons, The Living End, I immediately thought of my friend Terry, who is not only the biggest Living End fan I know, but a skilled musician in his own right, as frontman of Ryan's Hope.

So what better than to sit these two musicians down together and let them talk about the music industry, punk rock on the Warped Tour and the perils of the music industry.

You can click Read More for the interview.

Dead To Me

Dead To Me

San Jose's finest archeologist Dante3000 recently had the opportunity to talk with Chicken and Ian of the band Dead to Me. The three talk about everything from how Chicken's stay in rehab affected the new album, mosh pits on the moon and foot long hotdog buns, in what is probably the funniest interview we've ever posted.

Punknews.org will be streaming Cuban Ballerina in anticipation of its release, while the band has a free in-store performance scheduled for next Tuesday at Amoeba Records in San Francisco.

Interviews
Outernational

Outernational

Being called the next Rage Against the Machine might sound like the superlative of an overly excited music critic, but when it comes from the guitarist of that band, it packs a little more punch. That endorsement was enough to gain this one unsigned band plenty of attention.

Fiercely political, the band eschewed traditional shows to concentrate on political rallies and benefits before grabbing the ear of Warped Tour head honcho Kevin Lyman who promptly booked them on the tour. An exciting mix of punk, ska, dub and world music, Outernational produces a sound as diverse as their multi-ethnic lineup. Besides his endorsement, RATM guitarist Tom Morello also opted to produce their newest demo and you can check out songs on their MySpace page.

Punknews.org decided to exchange a few emails with guitarist Minimum Tek

The band also sent us a few tracks and you can stream those from their punknews.org profile.

Nitro Interviews
Hit the Switch

Hit the Switch

Contributor William_David recently spoke with fresh Nitro Records signing Hit The Switch.

He adds:

It's always hard being a new band trying to get your name out in today's saturated punk scene. There are thousands upon thousands of bands flooding the scene, and many great bands have disbanded long before anyone even knew they existed. One of Nitro's newest signings, Hit the Switch, has a plan to make themselves known, and it won't cost music fans a dime to check them out.

In a fashion similar to bands like Bomb the Music Industry and Defiance, Ohio, this California four-piece will be releasing their debut full-length, Domestic Tranquility and Social Justice, through iTunes free of charge in two parts, even though they are on a very legitimate punk label. While any band can release music for free, this album is a high quality punk record that holds it's own with other Nitro acts like A Wilhelm Scream and No Trigger. Guitarist and vocalist, Matt Hawks, took some time to explain their plan and introduce the band to the Punknews community.
