EZ8, a new band featuring Charlie Manning Walker of Chubby and the Gang (who announced their break up last year), have released their debut recording. It is a self-titled EP and features four tracks: “Drop Me Out”, “Right Behind You”, “The Easy Eight”, and “The Descent”. Check out the EP below.

The Dead Betties have announced that they will be releasing a new EP. It is called Whitey and will be out on November 21 via Rotten Princess Records. Talking Punx Can't Laugh Fest with Gabe Koury

Gabe Koury does it all. Gabe has played in punk bands like Back of the Class and W!NSLOW, does stand-up comedy, creates visual art, and puts on awesome shows, including the punk and comedy show Punx Can’t Laugh. Last year, Punx Can’t Laugh expanded into festival territory with help from Jeremy Dobski, taking over Toronto for three shows over two days. This year, Punx Can’t Laugh Fest will be putting on five rocking shows over the course of four days at venues across the city, including the Bovine Sex Club, Ted’s Collision, and Rainhard Brewery. Punx Can't Laugh Fest runs from October 16-19. You can see the show run-down below the interview.

Bat Sabbath

Bat Sabbath announce Canadian tour

Bat Sabbath, the Black Sabbath-covering alter-egos of Cancer Bats, have announced that they will be heading out on tour. Sliptomb (Ethereal Tomb performing Slipknot songs) and Pissfits (Diner Drugs performing Misfits songs) will be joining them on all dates. The trek will begin on December 11 in Montreal, Quebec and wrap up on December 20 in Toronto, Ontario. Check out the dates below.

Spanish Love Songs to release new EP, share two new songs

Spanish Love Songs have announced that they will be releasing a new EP. It is called A Brief Intermission In The Flattening of Time and will be out on November 21 via Pure Noise Records. The band has released two new songs, “Cocaine and Lexapro” which features Kevin Devine (and comes with a video created by Hannah Gray Hall and Ty Combs) and “Berlin” which features Tigers Jaw. Danzig

First four Danzig albums reissued

The first four Danzig albums are being re-released on vinyl. This is the first vinyl reissue of the lps since their initial release, though bootlegs have abounded. The new ones are out via Universal and appear to be straight reissues. Danzig himself has not issued a statement, so it is unclear if the released are artist approved.

Weird Nightmare

Weird Nightmare releases video for “Forever Elsewhere”

Weird Nightmare, the solo project of Alex Edkins of METZ, has released a video for his new song “Forever Elsewhere”. The video was directed, produced, and edited by Colin Medley. The song is available digitally now via Sub Pop Records. Weird Nightmare released his self-titled album in 2022. Check out the video below.

Pinkshift: “Authority Problem”

Pinkshift have released a new song. It is called “Authority Problem” and is available digitally now via Hopeless Records. Pinkshift released their album Earthkeeper earlier this year and we spoke to lead vocalist Ashrita Kumar and drummer Myron Houngbedji about it in August. The band will be touring North America starting tomorrow. Check out the song below.

Lande Hekt to release new solo album, shares “Favourite Pair of Shoes” video

Lande Hekt has announced that she will be releasing a new solo album. It is called Lucky Now and will be out on January 30 via Tapete. She has also released a video for her new song “Favourite Pair of Shoes” which was filmed on Dartmoor and in Exeter in September 2025. The video was made by David Goodchild. Crasher: “Stories” (ft. Slash Need)

Crasher have released a new song. It is called “Stories” and features Slash Need. The song is off their upcoming album Odditi Populaire which will be out on November 7 via Mothland. Crasher released street cleaning machines of the world in 2021. Check out the song below.
