Algernon Cadwallader to release new album, share “Hawk” video

Algernon Cadwallader have announced that they will be releasing their first new album in 14 years. It is called Trying Not to Have a Thought and will be out on September 12 via Saddle Creek Records. The band has released a video for their new song “Hawk” which was directed by Darby Irrgang and Ricky Christian. Algernon Cadwallader will be touring North America this fall and winter and released their album Parrot Flies in 2011. Check out the video, tracklist, and dates below.

Stray Cats are back and they are going on a full, USA tour. It starts in late October, runs for almost a month, and hits most of the country. You can see the dates below.

The Jesus Lizard cancel all fall tour dates

The Jesus Lizard have cancelled their upcoming fall tour dates for New Zealand, Australia, Japan, and America. The band released a statement on Instagram that reads,

”The Jesus Lizard regret to announce the cancellation of their scheduled October 2025 dates in New Zealand, Australia and Japan, as well as their November 2025 dates in the United States. Upon the advice of medical professionals following a serious health incident affecting one of the band members, it is considered necessary as a precautionary measure.

The band would like to convey their apologies to disappointed fans and emphasize that the affected member’s prognosis is excellent. Your understanding and support are very much appreciated as always.

As we cannot currently project replacement dates, refunds will be available at point of purchase.”

AFI to release new album, share “Behind The Clock” video

AFI have announced that they will be releasing a new album. It is called Silver Bleeds The Black Sun… and will be out on October 3 via Run For Cover Records. The band has also released a video for their new song “Behind The Clock” which was directed by Gilbert Trejo. AFI will be touring the US this fall and released their album Bodies in 2021. Oranje to release new album, share new song “Styrofoam”

Calgary-based math rockers Oranje have announced that they will be releasing a new album. It is called In Irons and will be out on October 17. The album features nine new tracks, including their previously released song “Body”. Along with the announcement, the band has released a new song called “Styrofoam” which features guest vocals from writer and artist Sophia Truscott. Oranje released Pure Sport in 2023.
