On September 17, Bad Cop/Bad Cop will release their first album in 5 years. Lighten Up is out via Fat, now owned by Hopeless, and is the first LP to feature the band's newest member, Alex Windsor. You can hear the lead single below.

Angel Du$t release new single

Angel Du$t have released a new 7-icnh single. "The Beat" is on side A while "The Knife" is on the flip side. The release is out now via Run for Cover. The label also hinted that they will be releasing more Angel Du$t material in the future with "stay tuned for more to come soon from Angel Du$t and Run For Cover Records!" Following the release of their Minor Threat cover, Foo Fighters have released a new track. It's called Today's Song and is a stand alone digital single. Frontman Dave Grohl himself also drums on the track, following the firing of drummer Josh Freese. You can hear the tune below.

Pearl Jam

Matt Cameron leaves Pearl Jam after 27 years

Matt Cameron is leaving Pearl Jam. He has drummed for the band for 27 years but did not give a reason for the departure. However, he did issue a brief statement: “After 27 fantastic years, I have taken my final steps down the drum riser for the mighty Pearl Jam. Much love and respect to Jeff, Ed, Mike and Stone for inviting me into the band in 1998 and for giving me the opportunity of a lifetime, filled with friendships, artistry, challenges and laughter.”

A replacement has not yet been named.
