Blind Equation has released a video for their new song “Flashback” which features Strawberry Hospital. The video was shot, directed, and edited by Adrian Dabu. The song is off their upcoming album A Funeral In Purgatory which will be out on July 18. Blind Equation released their album DEATH AWAITS in 2023. Check out the video below.
Today marks the release of Fishbone’s ninth studio album Stockholm Syndrome. The album is the band’s first to feature their new lineup of Angelo Moore, Christopher Dowd, James Jones, Hassan Hurd, John “JS” Williams II, and Tracey “Spacey T” Singleton. The album was produced by the band along with Aryon Davis and Chris McGrew and was mixed by Cameron Webb.
The band sounds refreshed and reinvigorated as they kick out 12 red-hot tracks that will have you dancing, moshing, and thinking. Their lyrics are some of their sharpest and most reflective to date as they tackle the rise of fascism and racism in America, dive into the predatory nature of the record industry, discuss interpersonal conflict and emotional turmoil, and remind us that love is the most important thing of all.
We caught up with Angelo Moore and Christopher Dowd to hear their thoughts and the stories behind each of the tracks. Teen Jesus and the Jean Teasers have released a video for their new song “UNSCARRED”. The video was directed by Claire Giuffre. The song is available digitally now and is the second single the band has released so far this year, the first was “BALCONY” which was released in April. Teen Jesus and the Jean Teasers released their album I Love You in 2023 and released a deluxe version of that album called I Love You Too in 2024. Check out the video below.

Anarcho-punk icons Zounds are nearing the end of the band. Founding member Steve Lake issued a statement, which read in part, "The way I’m feeling at the moment it looks like the remaining gigs we’re doing in 2025 will be the last times I perform with Zounds. Running a group seems to be more difficult these days and I hate constantly changing line ups. It doesn’t feel like a group if its different people on stage all the time. Plus, I think some of my recent performances have lacked the intensity they need for the band to really work the way I want." Lake states that he will keep performing, just likely not as Zounds. Bleary Eyed have released a new song. It is called “Easy” and is off their upcoming album of the same name which will be out on July 25 via Born Losers Records. Freezing Cold has announced that they will be releasing a new album. It is called Treasure Pool and will be out on August 1 via Don Giovanni Records. The band has also released a video for their new song “Backlight”. Freezing Cold will be touring the US starting later this month and released their EP Stuck on Hold/Drawn to Scale in 2021.
