The Damned will release a covers album. It's called Not Like Everybody Else and it's out January 23, via the band directly. The release is being billed as a tribute to founding guitar player Brian James. The record includes Dave Vanian on vocals, Captain Sensible on guitar, Paul Gray on bass, Monty Oxymoron on keys, and Rat scabies on drums (his first Damned album in about 40 years). Napalm Death are releasing a hefty box set. It includes all of their albums from Scum through Words From The Exit Wound on vinyl. That is out in January via Earache. The release is limited to 1,000 copies and all the albums are remastered/.
Gary Numan is going to re-release the Telekon album in an expanded edition. The new version is remastered and features a handful of bonus tracks. That's out via Beggar's archive on January 30.
Donato "Dan" Canzonieri, bass player and co-founder of Electric Frankenstein has been charged with sexual assault of an 11 year old. Canzonieri was arrested in wake County, North Carolina earlier this year with charges filed in July. He is charged with numerous accounts related to sexual assault of a minor, who was 11. Court documents state Canzonieri's age as 46 at the time of the alleged offense. You can see the initial charges below.
Green Day have released a live version of their song “Blood, Sex and Booze”. The song was recorded during their March 18, 2001 show at Makuhari Messe in Tokyo, Japan. It is off their upcoming 25th anniversary edition of Warning which will be out on November 14. Check out the song below.
Hayley Williams has released a new solo song. It is called “Good Ol’ Days” and comes with an accompanying visualizer video which features Nashville footage shot by Jonah Lund, along with a design by Jordan Short. The song is off the final physical version of her album Ego Death At A Bachelorette Party which will be out on November 7. Check out the video below.
