Two Gregs One Podcast Finale

Two Gregs One Podcast Finale

Punknews.org is happy announce the next big step in our exploration of our contributor's regional scenes with the final episode of Two Gregs One Podcast, our spotlight of the U.S. Midwest from Org staff reviewer Greg Simpson and pal Greg Moore. On this special episode:

After 3 years and 21 episodes, Two Gregs is packing it in. Well actually, only ONE Greg is packing it in.

On this final episode of our podcast, we do a Best Of feature. We reexamine and rank each of our top 5 releases we've reviewed over our podcast's tenure. We play clips of every pick, ten clips in all, and look back on all the fun we've had. It came out pretty hilarious.

And never fear, Orgers and fellow Midwest music fans! Greg Simpson aka greg0rb will now be joined by Clevelander Scott Heisel of Punknews legend and head editor at Alternative Press magazine for a decade. Our new podcast will be called Best Midwestern and will have a similar format with a few twists and amped up to the nth degree. You can find us on Facebook and Twitter @BestMidwestern. Expect the first episode mid-February!

Five hours of backlogged nonsense

So.

No less than three entirely uninteresting but nonetheless insurmountable issues prevented us from getting the Punknews Podcast feed updated for the better part of a month and a half. Not that this prevented us from recording week after week. An audience of zero is I suppose five less people than the normal audience, so it didn't seem like much of a change for us. In any case, thanks for hanging in there. The Punknews Podcast is back and here's what you've missed.

Below you'll find 5 episodes from December featuring Adam White, John Gentile, Mark Little, and Ricky Frankel. We have a few guests join us on these shows, including Denise Borders of PunkWorldViews.com and Mr. Joel Tannenbaum of Plow United / Ex Friends. We'll be back to a normal posting schedule later this week.
