Shirley D. Pressed stream two tracks

German punk act Shirley D. Pressed has signed to Canadian label Thousand Island Records, and will soon be announcing a release date for their debut LP, Rust. The band previously released a demo EP in 2014, and then began writing and composing enough songs to fill a full-length, which they began recording in late-2016.

Until that release date is announced, they have released two tracks from the album, "Astray" and "Count Me Out," both of which you can check out below.

The Bigger Empty: “No Second Hand” (Punknews Exclusive)

Punknews is excited to premiere a new track from The Bigger Empty. The song, "No Second Hand," comes off the band's forthcoming EP, Lakes & Oceans Vol. 2: Pacific. The EP comes out this Friday, July 7th, via La Escalera Records, and is currently up for preorder at their website.

The Bigger Empty, fronted by Smoking Popes drummer Mike Felumlee, brought their indie rock stylings to La Escalera earlier this year with the first volume in this EP series, Michigan, with more to come as 2017 rolls on.

The band is also playing a couple of gigs in Indiana this coming weekend. You can check out those dates, and the stream, below.

Shark Party release new EP “Bait”

Kentish punk trio Shark Party (ex-DROPTHIS, Dead Bears, Nude Vyper) have released their first homegrown demo as a name-your-price download via their Bandcamp page.

The appropriately named Bait Demos admittedly low-budget recording style lends a garage rock feel to the EP. You can check out the track "What Ever Happened to the Karate Kid?" below.

Punknews is proud to premiere a brand-new track from Illinois-based emo/rock act Euriah. "Have I Slowed Down?" is the title track to the band's forthcoming debut full-length, due out early next year. Pre-orders are currently up on Euriah's Bandcamp page, and $1 gets you the whole album upon release.

Have I Slowed Down?, tracked at Nashville's The Brown Owl studio, was mixed by Andy Wildrick (Junior Varsity) and mastered at Azimuth. Euriah's most recent album, the Passenger EP, was released in 2016.
