We are happy to bring to you a Punknews Exclusive of Los Angeles based singer/writer Divided Heaven's new track titled "The White Rose". Singer/songwriter Jeff Berman says this track was written as a tribute to "the eponymous 1942 anti-Nazi, student-led resistance group in steadfast remembrance of their courage and in solidarity against their illegal and unjust persecution. The single stands as an honest, imperfect, unabashed, vicious and raw response to the Trump demagoguery". The track is a charity digital single, all of the proceeds of this track will be going to raise funds for the Syrian humanitarian aid group, The White Helmets. The digital single will be released on January 20th, 2017, Inauguration Day on bandcamp. Purchasing the track will also include a full band recording of their song titled "Gin". Chicago's Artistic Integrity Records has provided more details on their annual cover compilation released, as always, on New Year's Day. 2017's album, An Impression of an Original: A Tribute to Against Me!, will feature twenty-six artists covering their favorite tracks across the breadth of AM!'s career. Half of the proceeds from the sale of the comp will go to Gender Is Over, a clothing company/charity which Laura Jane Grace herself has worked with over the past few years, and whose mission is to provide support to trans & gender nonconforming people, as well as assisting organizations with the same goal.
