Q: Do a bands political/religious views ever conflict with your enjoyment of their music and/or live shows? Like listening to Anti-flag when you're right-leaning. smileA: Not unless the message is something super overt that I can't get past it to enjoy the music. Like Thrice is fairly religious but their music is done in a way that I don't think about it all the time while listening to their music. Usually, if I can sing along to a band's song and not feel like a dumb ass, I don't care too much about their personal views.

Hello everyone and welcome to Navel Gazing: your look back in the week in Punknews. I'm Brittany Strummer and I'll be your guide through some of the juiciest, most popular and otherwise noteworthy stories from the last seven days. - Against Me! revealed the title for new album and footage surfaced of lead singer, Laura Jane Grace, performing "Walking Is Still Honest" at Punk Rock Bowling.
- We sat down and had a chat with Justice Tripp of Trapped Under Ice.
- Trash Talk signed to Odd Future Records.
- Rise Against's Tim McIlrath reflected on being in a punk band.
- Strung Out will be heading out on tour with Handguns to perform two of their most memorable albums on the Twisted In a Suburban Wasteland Tour.
- Ween have decided to call it quits after a 28-year-long career.
- Henry Rollins has a new show on National Geographic.

Q: Do you think punknews will ever have a bigger story then the one about Laura Jane Grace? I think no punk related news in general will ever top it, lets face it Tom was/is the most important person in modern day punk. Will Laura have the same impact?A: I don't think there's any way to predict if there will be a bigger story than Laura's announcement but I don't doubt it. I do believe Laura will have the same impact because she's the same person making the same music just in a more comfortable way that suits her. If anything she might have a bigger impact because she inspired many transgender folks to come out and be comfortable in their bodies in the public eye. Also, I believe Laura has wrote some pretty great songs in wake of this because I heard a handful of Against Me! songs the other night when I saw them open for The Cult and they were nothing short of amazing. It's going to be a great album.

- In a bizarre turn of events World/Inferno Friendship Society were punched off of their recent tour with The Adicts.
- Warped Tour founder, Kevin Lyman, explained why Blink 182 won't play Warped Tour so you can stop asking him.
- Matt Toka announced plans to expand his musical horizons beyond YouTube.
- New additions to Fest 11 were revealed.
- Rise Against announced a tour with The Gaslight Anthem and Hot Water Music.
- The Gaslight Anthem will also be touring with Dave Hause of The Loved Ones.
- The highly anticipated soundtrack for Tony Hawk Pro-Skater HD was revealed containing both new and classic songs.

Q: Do you prefer to listen to full albums or random songs?A: Hey Formspring comes through with a legit question! Albums, always albums. I listen to and enjoy artists who have good songs but maybe not a whole album but the ability to craft an entire album as a single piece has always impressed me and will always be my preferred choice.
