Here's your question and answer of the week from the Punknews Formspring:

Q: Do you like when bands change their logos or do you like them to stay the same? A: For me it depends on the logo. If Bad Religion lost the iconic "Cross Buster" logo, I think it would really be jarring. I don't think I'd stop listening but it would seem off for sure. That said, a band is a band for the music. That isn't to say their isn't a visual aesthetic involved but bands like Against Me! and Fake Problems (who have both utilized the incredibly talented Steak Mountain) have evolving logos and art and I think it's helped the band.
So…sometimes.

Here's your question and answer of the week from the Punknews Formspring:

Q: How dumb are brand tattoos? Is a brand tattoo the same as getting a band tattoo? A: I'm going to say that unless a brand has paid you money to wreck your physical appearance that getting their tattoo is dumb. Even then it's iffy. I'm not sure if $50,000 is really worth getting a "GoldenPalace.com" tattoo on your back and ruining your life. I don't put brand and band on the same level however. Most people have emotional attachments to bands they get tattooed on their body. That isn't to say that Pepsi isn't a large part of my life, but I don't think I'd quote, "You picked the right one baby" in my senior year book. That said, I have no tattoos. So suck it.
