Better Oblivion Community Center: “Dylan Thomas”

Newly formed indie band Better Oblivion Community Center dropped their highly speculated surprise album over at The Late Show With Stephen Colbert. The band was formed by Phoebe Bridgers and Conor Oberst (of Bright Eyes and Desaparecidos). The album was kept a secret and was recorded in Los Angeles in the summer and fall of 2018. The duo performed "Dylan Thomas" live together as Better Oblivion Community Center for the first time over network TV. See below to check out the performance and to listen to the whole album.

Radar State

Radar State records live at Paste Studio

Emo supergroup Radar State recorded a session at Paste Studio before their Brooklyn show on Friday. The band performed three songs, "Defender", "Self Hurt Guru" and "Damn The Man". Radar State released Strays in 2019. See below to watch the full session.

The band just concluded an East Coast run of show dates. They will be starting a run of Midwest and West Coast dates in February.

The Murderburgers: “What A Mess”

The Murderburgers have a premiered a new video from their recently announced LP. The song, "Shots In My Skull," comes off of their new album What A Mess, which is seeing a staggered release via a bevy of labels, depending on where you are at. Japan will see it first on Feb 28th via Waterslide Records, and then everyone else will get it on Mar 15th, with CD and LP via Asian Man Records (USA), CD via Umlaut Records and LP from Brassneck Records (UK and EU). What A Mess is a follow-up to their 2016 album The 12 Habits of Highly Defective People .

The Murderbugers have some US and UK dates as a full band later starting in March with Get Married (indicated below with *) but, beforehand in February, Fraser Murderburger will be playing a series of solo gigs with Kate Kane (Lipstick Homocide/Starry Nights). Super group Radar State released a new music video for their track "What's a Rebel?" The band consists of Matt Pryor and Jim Suptic of The Get Up Kids, Josh Berwanger of The Anniversary, and Adam Phillips of The Architects and The Gadjits. The band recently released Strays and is currently out on tour to support the release.

Minnesota based emo band Tiny Moving Parts released a music video for their track titled "For the Sake of Brevity". The track is off of the band's upcoming new two-song single titled For the Sake of Brevity / Fish Bowl. The release will be out through Triple Crown Records as a limited edition one-sided 7-inch.
