TSOL to release 'Live At The Observatory'

T.S.O.L. have announced that they will be releasing a live album called Live At The Observatory. It was recorded during the band's January 5, 2018 show at The Observatory in Santa Ana, CA. The release will include all of the tracks from their 1981 self-titled EP and Dance With Me. Live At The Observatory will be out in June 2018 via Hardline Entertainment. Belgium's Captain Kaiser have released a video for the title track off of their new album. The eponymous "Dog Days On Deck" is due out February 23rd on Bearded Punk Records. The band's most recent release, the Greatest Hits Col. 1 EP, was released in March of last year.

Josh Caterer: “Star Struck One/No More Smiles” live acoustic

Last week Live! from The Rock Room released footage of Joey Cape's acoustic session at 350 Brewing Company (itself a sponsor of LFTRR). Josh Caterer of the Smoking Popes opened for that gig, and now a video is online of Josh performing acoustic versions of the dual lead tracks "Star Struck One/No More Smiles" off of the Popes' 1997 LP Destination Failure.

The Smoking Popes are also scheduled for a West Coast tour (with support by Bad Cop/Bad Cop) this coming April to mark the 20-year anniversary of that album. You can check out Josh's performance, and those tour dates, below.

Drummer Chris Mills explained in an interview with Revolver ""This song and video takes a critical look on our relationship with technology, as a society, and the enigmatic nature that it can create. It was great to work with [Director] Max (Moore) on this project, and he did a fantastic job bringing our vision to light.
