Punx Can't Laugh Fest announces full lineup

Toronto-based music and comedy festival Punx Can’t Laugh has added more bands and comedians to this year’s lineup. Debt Cemetery, Sixteen Scandals, Last Drag, Snakes, Ashlee Schatze, Fast Eddie, Laraigne, Jesse Landen, JC Sifton, Carter Deems, Andre Medrano, Nick Fierro, Finn Bogi, Ethan O’Reilly, Manny Petty, Jameson Cox, Brian Rabadeau, Dan Treadway, Jacob Morrison, Erich Laux, and Ryan Visser will be performing at the festival.

They join the previously announced lineup of Heart and Lung, Real Sickies, Scott Reynolds of ALL, Chuck Coles and Kenda Legaspi of The Creepshow, Mike Warne of Pkew Pkew Pkew, School Damage, Mike Mitchell, Johanna Medranda, Rush Kazi, Jason Allen, and Reid Pegram.

The festival will also have an art market with vendors Little Monkey Art, Stephen McGill Photography, Libby Photography, and Piotr’s Pickles. Punk Can’t Laugh Fest will take place October 16-19 across several venues in Toronto, Ontario: Bovine Sex Club, Ted’s Collision, and Rainhard Brewery.

Quebec-based POP Montreal has added more bands to this year’s festival. Casper Skulls, Slash Need, Pool Kids, PONY, Miesha and the Spanks, Holy Fuck, Ribbon Skirt, fanclubwallet, Truth Club, Ducks Ltd, and Shunk are among the bands announced. They join the previously announced lineup which includes TEKE::TEKE, No Joy, Lankum, U.S. Girls, Fat Dog, PISS, and Les Shirley.POP Montreal will take place in Montreal on September 24-28. Not Dead Yet Toronto has announced details for their inaugural Town of Hardcore festival. Gorilla Biscuits, Cold World, SPEED, Buried Alive, Bad Beat, Spite House, Combust, Wild Side, Miil-Spec, Start Today, Fatal Realm, BFD, The Final Agony, Mile End, Terminator, Pluto’s Kiss, Wrought, 100% Pure, and Mace will be playing the festival. Town of Hardcore will take place on October 24-25 at Lithuanian House in Toronto, Ontario. Tickets go on sale on July 24 and $2 from each ticket will be donated to Toronto Indigenous Harm Reduction.

Edmonton-based Purple City Music Festival has added more bands/artists to its lineup for this year. Bonnie Trash, BONDBREAKR, DVTR, Magic Shoppe, Jehovas Princess, Hallows, Clone, Whitey Houston, False Body, Real Sickies, Colleen Brown and Amy Van Keeken, The Bobby Tenderloin Experience, Field and Stream, Kue Varo and the Only Hopes, Blue Collar Distro, Dial Up, Brock Geiger, Devours, Throat Piss, and Uncanny Valley will be playing the festival.

They join the previously announced lineup which includes L.A. Witch, D.O.A., Marie Davidson, Acid Tongue, Freya, Taleen Kali, Wait//Less, Shiv and the Carvers, and Slash Need.

Purple City Music Festival will take place September 5-7 across multiple venues in downtown Edmonton, Alberta including Starlite Room, Temple Stage, McDougall United Church, Y After Hours, the Downtown Edmonton Community League, and the Freemasons Hall.

Quebec-based music festival FME has announced its lineup for this year. The OBGMs, Klo Pelgag, Bad Waitress, Bells Larsen, Les Trois Accords, Jay Scott, Ariane Roy, Bibi Club, TEKE::TEKE, Population II, Solids, We Are Wolves, Yoo Doo Right, and Puffer are among the bands playing the festival. L7 have announced details for their upcoming 40th anniversary show. Along with the band, Lunachicks and CSS will be playing with more bands to be announced soon. The lineup was curated by frontwoman Donita Sparks. L7’s 40th anniversary Bash will take place at the Belasco Theatre in Los Angeles, California on October 3. Tickets go on sale July 18.
