Tera Melos

Tera Melos is a four piece instrumental band hailing from the greater Sacramento area in California. Their self titled debut has received many praises, including one of Associated Press' "Most Overlooked Albums of 2005". Dr. Dan Yemin of Lifetime, Part 2

Dr. Dan Yemin of Lifetime, Part 2

Last week, we sent you guys over to Pastepunk to read the first half of our sit down with Dr. Dan Yemin of Lifetime (amongst other bands). This week, I've decided to let the second half free from my hard drive.

This time around, Dan talks about the definitive future of the band, as well as his feelings on homophobia in the scene and what this whole reunion deal might do to the band's legacy, if there is one.

Jade Tree Interviews
Lifetime

Dr. Dan Yemin of Lifetime

Some of you may have heard that Lifetime played a few shows in California recently. I know it was little known and we probably shouldn't have been part of the industry cover-up to keep to keep it secret.

To make up for it, a friend of mine who writes for Pastepunk and I (and my interview assistant Travis) sat down with Dr. Dan Yemin for a chat. After an hour or so waiting outside due to some technical difficulties with email, we headed to a pizza joint and enjoyed his company, as well as Boyz In the Hood.

The first part of this interview will be handled by Jordan A. Baker, esq. over at Pastepunk. Check back in a couple days for the second part here at the Org. So head over to Pastepunk and read the first couple thousand words of our interview.

boy sets fire interview picture

Boy Sets Fire

Dan Perrone was recently stranded on a desert island for several eternities with Nathan Grey of Boy Sets Fire, and decided to spend the time interviewing him about his band. At least, that's what I can gather from the gargantuan length of our interview here.

The band is gearing up for the release of their new full-length, The Misery Index: Notes from the Plague Years, their first since 2003's Tomorrow Come Today, to be released on March 7th in North America, and on February 24th in Italy, Austria, and Germany. EV also released a collections album late last year entitled Before the Eulogy as well as a reissue of 1997's Initial-released The Day the Sun Went Out. Plans are also in store for a UK run with Hell Is for Heroes and a stint on the Warped Tour's Smartpunk stage.

The Fall of Troy

The Fall of Troy

I recently sat down with the rhythm section of the Fall of Troy for a brief babble over a Bud in the basement of a Levittown, NY…venue, in between sets at the stop of their tour with Anterrabae and Protest the Hero.

The band released their second full-length, Doppelgänger, last year on Equal Vision.

Community member Sceneupdates had a chat with Tom Gabel of now-controversial act Against Me!. The two exchanged emails and covered topics from the recent signing to Sire, their involvement with various charity projects and Tom's favorite music of last year.
