Cleveland-based melodic hardcore outfit Heads Held High have wrapped up tracking for their second full length, Do or Do Not, There is No Try. The band is aiming for a March 30th, 2007 release for the EP and have posted two unmastered tracks from the album on their myspace page.

Bradley McMillan, Arsenal, Transit

Former 52% Blind member Bradley McMillan is set to enter the Glengarry Music Mill Studio in late Feb early March to begin work on his yet to be named debut solo release. He has also posted a demo of the song "Lullaby" for download at his PureVolume page.

Hailing from the North Shore of Boston, melodic pop punk band Transit, have finished their first demo. The band cites Jawbreaker, Hot Water Music, Brand New, and Grade as their influences. You can check out two songs from the demo on their myspace page.

Deck Cheese Records act Sonic Boom Six have recorded a cover Chumabwamba's "Marching Round in Circles. You can find the song on their myspace page. The tune will be one of the B-Sides on the forthcoming SB6 single, a brand new mix of 'All-In' that drops on February 19th on Deck Cheese records.

Germany' s Steakknife have posted all of their previously released albums for free download. The group is also working on new material for a March release. The music can be found at the band's Last.FM page, just click on the respective cover of the album to download the individual tracks.

Honeycreeper has released its first video for "The Man", a song off the band's debut album Freakqualizer. The video, shot in numerous locations throughout New York City, can be viewed on Honeycreeper's MySpace profile, on YouTube, and a high-quality version can be seen on the band's website.

Chicago two-piece band, Somme, has posted two tracks from their debut EP, Weight, which was recorded in one day at Steve Albini's legendary Electrical Audio Studios. Weight is the first of a two-part series of sister recordings, the second of which is planned for release later this year. The band has been described as "a spectacularly ambitious sonic marvel," with "key influences Spacemen 3, Jesus and Mary Chain, and Slow Riot-era Godspeed You Black Emperor."
