Life's Great Tragedy, Rat City Riot, The Mean Jeans

Glendora, California's Lifes Great Tragedy has posted two new tracks online from their recent EP The Spectre. You can find the songs over at MySpace.

San Diego's Rat City Riot have a new album on the way on September 13th. The band will celebrate with a show at the Che Cafe in La Jolla, featuring Northern Towns and Dead City Dregs. The record will be release din Europe by People Like You Records.

Portland, Ontario's The Mean Jeans have a new video online for the song "Stoned 2 The Bone." You can check it out on YouTube. The band will release a 7" soon via Dirtnap affiliated Green Nose Records.

While we're not encouraging people to send us want ads we do have word that a fairly established US band (who wishes to remain quasi-anonymous) is looking for a new drummer and second guitarist / back up vocalist. The band is getting ready to hit the road in October and is looking to fill those spots as soon as possible. Strange Corner, Los Di Maggios vs. Teenage Gluesniffers, Ask The Ice

Bordeaux, France's Los Di Maggios and Milano, Italy's Teenage Gluesniffers have released a new split 7". The record, which features two new songs from each band, is being released by a number of labels across the world, including Knowhere Records (USA), Making Believe Records (Italy), Virtual Loser Records (Italy), No Breaks Records (USA), Waterslide Records (Japan) and Rockin Days Webzine (Italy). After three years of delays due to difficulties in finding a label, Italian hardcore band Strange Corner has finally signed with England's Casket Music to released their new album, Human Society.

Charles Young and Brendan Dickhaut, the songwriting team from Orange Island have returned with a new project titled Ask The Ice. The two piece features Dickhaut on gitars and vocals with Young on drums and songwriting. You can find music online at MySpace.

Iceberg, Dead City Dregs, The Lawyer Beaters

Buffalo, NY's Iceberg has returned to One Mic Studios to begin recording their new full length Signals. The record will follow up their 2007 self-titled debut. Samples of the band's past work and upcoming fall tour dates can be found at MySpace.

St. Louis, Missouri street punk act Dead City Dregs have announced dates for a west coast tour next month. The band is supporting their debut EP Landmine, released in the spring of this year on B.T.T.P Records. You can find tour dates and music from the EP at MySpace.

Piacenza, Italy's Lawyer Beaters will release their first full length in the US through Knowhere Records and Motherbox Records. The record is titled Waited Enough. Daniele Mandelli from Elfo Studios in Italy (Retarded's Goes Louder) produced. You can preview music from the album at the band's MySpace page.

A Lull, The Singularity, My Doll

Chicago, IL's A Lull, which features former members of the Evaluation, Ateriavia, and the Skies We Built, have just released their debut single titled "Skinny Fingers/ Little Echoes." The band has that and another song available as a free download online at their MySpace page.

California's The Singularity are recording a cover of Crimpshrine's "Another Day" for a tribute album to be released by Brotherhood Of The Snake. The tribute will also feature contributions from Off With Their Heads and the Blank Heads among others. The Singularity is currently hard at work on their upcoming full length. Squirrely Records has signed Phoenix Arizona's My Doll. The band joins a roster that features Josh Hollow and New York Taxi. You can preview some of the punk band's music at MySpace.

Holy Hounds, Roam Alone, Heisai Yasokawa's Empty Orchestra

Battle Creek, Michigan's Holy Hounds have released a companion video for their song "Hymn No. 1" off their EP Murder City Limits. You can check the video out at YouTube. The EP was released as a free digital offering on July 29th. The band has also tapped award-winning director Stephen Richmond to direct a proper video for their song "Courthouse Blues."

Georgia's Roam Alone has just finished a new 4 song collection titled the Desolate EP. Two of the songs from the release, "Desolate" and "Maverick," are online for preview at MySpace. The band has their previous 4 song demo online as a free download at MediaFire.

Heisai Yasokawa's Empty Orchestra has added Mad Mike, formerly of Weapons Grade, as their new drummer. The Boston based band is working on a new demo with he and new bass player Chris Fittante. You can find some of the band's past work online at MySpace.

ALLorNOTHING, A Kid Named Thompson, Voodoo Youth

Hollister, CA's ALLorNOTHING has signed with Ethos Records. The band is working on a new full length titled A City Built On Its Dead.

San Antonio, TX's A Kid Named Thompson has returned from a week at Black Lodge Recording and have finished recording a new 4 song EP. The band worked with David Chutka and producer Ed Rose (Get Up Kids, Motion City Soundtrack, Limbeck). Ed is currently mixing the album. The band will be self-releasing the new EP on CD, vinyl and digitall at some point in the fall.

Two members of now defunct Chicago act The Skies We Built have returned with a new band dubbed Voodoo Youth. The band has two songs online at MySpace and are currently booking tour dates.

Rotary, Agar Agar, The Darlings

Boston MA's Rotary have posted three songs from their upcoming EP Not if the Robots Get Drunk and Start Killing People! online. You can check out the songs "Moist Robots", "Hate This", and "Young Guns" over at MySpace.

Indianapolis 3 piece hardcore/punk act Agar Agar has posted their self recorded demo on their own donation based label Decaying Youth Records. The album can be downloaded here along with lyrics and printable demo slips. Agar Agar features former members of the Five Second Cummings, who released Stuck in my Brain in the summer of 2007.

Californian punk act The Darlings have announced a show supporting the Street Dogs and Time Again at the Hollywood House of Blues on October 18th. The band has a number of songs online at MySpace.

New Jersey's hardcore punk act 9:18 have posted the entirety of their new EP for free download. The set, A Collection of Essays follows the Deep Dish EP and both were released by Stufend Records.. You can grab it here.

Melodic hardcore act Jerk City have posted some new music from their first demo. The band includes former members of Shattered Realm and play Kid Dynamite-influenced hardcore. You can check out the songs on their myspace page.

SecondShot, Caspian, Joy Of Sex

Michigan-via-California's SecondShot have finished their new record Bland Finale with Ryan Greene. It will be out in Japan in late August and elsewhere soon after. The band will tour Japan in September with Nerf Herder and Useless ID. Afterwards they'll hit Europe with UncommonMenFromMars. The band has two new songs from the record online at MySpace.

Beverly, Massachusetts' instrumental act Caspian will be in in Europe from September 30th to October 29th in support of the European release of their 2007 release The Four Trees. The band is also getting ready to release a vinyl pressing of their 2005 debut ep You Are The Conductor. More information on that release can be found here.

Cardiff, UK three piece Joy Of Sex will release their debut self titled EP through their Robot Architect label on August 18. It will be accompanied by the free download December, Month Of Plenty released through Sound and Vision Downloads on the same day. Coptercrash Records, Four Fingers, Keith Caputo

Florida record label Coptercrash Records has returned from a hiatus and has a new release in the works. The label plans to release the new full length from Trinity, Florida's Reseptors. More details, music, and releases are in the works soon, so keep an eye on the label's MySpace page. The label has been around since 2001 and has released 17 records from bands like Transistor Transistor, The Saddest Landscape, Acedia, 1956 and Party of Helicopters.

Tromaville, New Jersey's Four Fingers are out on the road supporting their new album 69 Dudes!, which was released on Pizza War Records this past June. It is the follow up to the 2007 release TK-421. You can stream music from the record at MySpace. The band plans to hit the road in mid-August in the New England area.

Life of Agony frontman Keith Caputo will tour this August with Fairmont. The tour kicks off this Tuesday in Asbury Park, New Jersey and wraps up in Hartford, CT on the 25th. Check Keith's website for dates and details.
