Los Kurados break down each song on their new EP 'Historias de Barrio'!

Today marks the release of the new EP by Austin, Texas-based Los Kurados! The EP is called Historias de Barrio and features 5 new tracks, including their previously released single “We Are Austin”. The band’s mix of punk, ska, and cumbia is on full display as they explore the history of the barrio, talk about systemic injustice, celebrate fútbol, cover Mi Banda El Mexicano, and so much more. adults have released a new song called “crying”. It is off their upcoming album the seeds we sow are sprouting buds nonetheless which will be out on October 31 via Fika Recordings. adults released their split with Spank Hair in 2024. Check out the song below.

Breakfast Time! to disband, release new song

Halifax-based pier emo band Breakfast Time! have announced that they will be disbanding after three years. This was announced in an Instagram post that reads in part,

”Some of you may have heard by now that Breakfast Time! is no longer going to be an active band. We ended on amicable terms, but burnout and life happens. […]

I’ve told this story before, but I started bt! within two weeks of moving to Halifax. Ryan and Bryce were the first friends I made here. My time in Halifax has been entirely and utterly entangled with this band. And I couldn’t be luckier to have my maritime life entwined with such talented musicians and good people. But breakfast is best enjoyed with friends. And I made so many through this project. To everyone who came out to shows, danced, moshed, and sang along - thank you, sincerely.”

The band has released a new song called “Jeff Benzos” and will be releasing their second (and final) EP soon. Breakfast Time! released their debut EP What Time Is It? in 2024. Check out the song as well as the post in full below.

Calling All Captains to release new EP, share “A New Type of Grey” video

Edmonton-based Calling All Captains have announced that they will be releasing a new EP. It is called The Things That I’ve Lost and will be out on January 9 via New Damage Records and Dine Alone Records. The band has also released a video for their new song “A New Type of Grey” which was produced by Versa Films and directed and edited by Dylan Hryciuk. Vancouver-based Maneater have released a video for their new song “Closer”. The song is off their upcoming debut album Curb Your Appetite which will be out on October 17 via Monotapes. Check out the video below.

The Effens: “Saint Vitus' Dance”

The Effens have released a new song. It is called “Saint Vitus’ Dance” and is available digitally now. This is the fourth single the band has released so far this year, following “ILY 4VR”, “Love Like Hate”, and “Worms”. The Effens released their EP Pussy Out in 2023. Check out the song below.

Chattanooga-based hardcore band Gumm have announced that they will be releasing a new album. It is called Beneath The Wheel and will be out on October 31 via Convulse Records. The band has also released a video for their new song “New From The Pain” which was shot by Derek Rathbun and edited by @judithtapes. Gumm released Slogan Machine in 2023.
