Dead F*cking Serious: “Never Again”

Punknews is excited to premiere a new single by socio-political hardcore punk trio Dead Fucking Serious. The song, "Never Again," is inspired by the activism of the Stoneman Douglas High shooting survivors, especially those of pupil Emma Gonzalez, in confronting the carnage of gun violence in America, and the politicians and lobbyist groups which perpetuate it. Clocking in at less that 1 1/2 minutes, the song not only embodies the righteous anger and fear of living in a trigger-happy nation, but also the nascent determination of these teens to change the status quo.

DFS' most recent album, Squalor, was released in January of last year. You can read Punknews' four-star review of that album here after checking out the new single below (note- the track artist is listed as Sammy Warm Hands, who is the lead vocalist/guitarist of DFS, rest-assured this is officially a DFS song).

Brand New Friend 'Mediocre At Best'

Northern Irish punks Brand New Friend are streaming "Mediocre At Best" the latest track to feature from their upcoming debut LP Seatbelts for Aeroplanes. The record is due for release on April 27th via Xtra Mile Recordings.

The Breeders: 'All Nerve'

Recently reunited alt rock icons The Breeders are streaming their new LP All Nerve in full. The album, which is released today via 4AD Records, represents the band's first new material in over a decade and the first time since the classic Last Splash era lineup has been back together.

Second In Line release single “Clark”

UK's Second In Line have released the twelfth and final track in their 2017 "A Track a Month" series. Although intended for a December release, the band was finally able to get it out as a free/name your price download for St. Valentine's Day.

The band intends to release all twelve tracks as a single album, iCandy in the near future.

Triple Sundae: “Indecisive”

Punknews is excited to debut the new single from UK punk quartet Triple Sundae. "Indecisive" is the first track released off of their upcoming EP, Peace of Mind. It starts out fast and pounding, and switches gears at unexpected times and in unexpected ways, transitioning back and forth from melodic punk to light pop and back again on a whim.

The Half-Wits release new single from upcoming album

Kentish hardcore punks The Half-Wits have released a new single via their Soundcloud page. The song, "Bring It Don't Sing It," comes off of their forthcoming debut album, expected out later this year. The band's most recent release, the Cities Forgotten EP, was released mid-2016.

Scream Hello: 'This Island Earth'

New Jersey's Scream Hello is back and have released a full stream of their new EP over at their Bandcamp page. The EP is called This Island Earth. The EP is available now digitally and will be released by Black Numbers on limited vinyl format at a later date. See below to listen to the EP.

UK punk/emo trio Please, Believe! have released their newest LP. The album, …In Potential, is out now via Make That A Take Records, and can be picked up as a name-your-price download, with physical copies planned for the future.

Shift-D premiere single from upcoming album

Ontario melodic punks Shift-D have premiered a new single. The song, "Recovery," comes off of the band's forthcoming album This Message Will Self-Destruct, which will be out TBA via Thousand Islands Records. Shift-D's most recent album, Battle On Your Own, was released in 2015.

Divided Heaven: 'The Worst'

Los Angeles based singer songwriter Divided Heaven released a 6 song EP titled The Worst EP. The EP was originally released in Europe in 2015 as a tour promotion. The songs were produced by both Charlie Stavish and Stephen Egerton. See below to listen to the EP.

IKARI WARRIORS: “Dry Bones”

Punknews is excited to premiere a new track from IKARI WARRIORS' new album. The song, "Dry Bones" comes off of the band's debut LP Sundowner, which will be self-released on February 8th. The song is a testament to the 80's-era DIY sound, with the music style rooted in that decade, but also influenced by punk from the intervening years.

The highly secretive band- the only solid information that they've made public is that they are "Punk rock from the north of England" and that there are two members- has this to say about the album, and the band's overall motivation:
