Trashed Ambulance stream “12 Inches of Christmas” from upcoming EP

Alberta's Trashed Ambulance are now streaming a track from their new EP ahead of the album's August 31st release date. The song, "12 Inches of Christmas," which carries on TA's snot-punk style of mirthful perversion, comes off of the Instant EP, due to be released via Thousand Island Records.

More details on the EP reveal that it will include two new tracks ("12 Inches…" and "Kooby"), as well as fully new re-recordings of three tracks from the band's first LP, early-2016's Blurry Thoughts.

Knifey: “Summer Girls” (Punknews Exclusive)

We're thrilled today at Punknews.org to share "Summer Girls," the new single from Toronto four-piece surf-punk act Knifey. The track will appear on their debut LP, due on September 29th. Lead singer lead singer Max Trinz commented on the song

From frantic highs to ardent lows, Summer Girls is a song about romance and passion in the deep summer. It's about the fast kind of love you can blink and miss while speeding down lazy summer roads. Reflective, patient hooks rise above relentless percussion and blistering guitars. Like all Toronto summers, the song is short and precious, and, like the coming fall, quickly slows into a dreamy, reflective outro that yearns for things not appreciated in their time.

Shirley D. Pressed streaming new LP “Rust” (Punknews Exclusive)

Punknews is extremely excited to premiere the entire new LP Rust from German melodic punks Shirley D. Pressed. This fairly new band, with just a rough demo from 2014 under their belt, have put together a ferocious and energetic full-length that is sure to please fans of the late-90s Epitaph Records/Fat Wreck Chords sound. Replete with high-tempo beats, breakneck guitars, and more backing vocals than you could ever wish for, Shirley D. Pressed comes roaring out of the gate.

The street date for the album is this Friday, July 21st, via Thousand Island Records, but you can take a listen to it all right now. If you like what you hear, be sure to head over to their Bandcamp page to pre-order the album.

But, Pyrite stream entire new LP “Piss”

NYC's But, Pyrite have released their new LP, Piss, as a name-your-price download via their Bandcamp page. The album, which I'd best describe as 80s hardcore meets snot punk, packs twelve songs into a sub-20 minute album. This is the band's second LP, and a follow-up to 2015's Don't Wanna Eat it Dry.

The band will also be playing a quick tour of the eastern and Midwest USA, including an album release show on the first night in Ridgewood, NY. Some of those dates are still TBA, so be sure to check But, Pyrite's social media channels for more info closer to the dates.

In the meantime, you can check out the track "Loop Swoop Pull" from the new album, and those tour dates, below.
