Mean Jeans: “RU Mental”

Punknews is mega-excited to stream the new single off the upcoming Mean Jeans singles compilation. The track is called "RU Mental" and finds the band blasting out a lovably boneheaded stomp while they sing about being insane and drinking liquor. The sugary "ooo-ooohs!" added on top of the whole thing make this slice of nihilism feel like a party.

The track is off the upcoming Singles release due out March 24, 2015 on Dirtnap Records. You'll be able to buy it here. But, until then, you can hear the kicking "RU Mental" on the band's Punknews.org Profile.

Suneaters: 'Suneaters II: Loving Relationship'

Suneaters: 'Suneaters II: Loving Relationship'

On this, the day before the world's international day of love, Punknews is pleased to debut the new album by Suneaters. While writing Suneaters II: A Loving Relationship, the band was initially inspired by the country-twang of Graham Nash and the modern-hymns of George Harrison. But, as they recorded the album, perverse influences pried their way in, and soon the band began to channel the fractured song writing of the Minutemen, the soul of Al Green and the ferocity of Slayer. Needless to say, the result is a twisted, winding collection of… ahem… "love"… songs.

The album is out April 7, 2015 via Lotuspool Records, but you can hear the whole thing below, right now.

Big Dick: 'Disappointment'

Stay Clean Jolene: 'Stay Clean Jolene'

Punknews is pleased to debut the new self-titled release by Stay Clean Jolene. The band takes the gruff, ragged delivery of Leatherface and kicks out messy, energetic tunes. It's out Today on Dead Broke / Drunken Sailor / Eager Beaver / Rad Girlfriend/Bombed Out records… that's right, five labels feel that this release is so good that they wanted to put it out. You can get it here, here, here, and here.

Fake Grave

Fake Grave: 'Fake Grave'

Punknews is pleased to debut the new EP by Pittsburgh, PA's Fake Grave. On their self-titled release, the band, which includes members of Divorce and Killing Thing, takes distanced cold of the Pixies and mashes it up with some spastic, jagged musicianship. There's a little bit of alt-rock here, a little bit of emo, a little bit of punk and they all collapse together into a spiraling, beautiful mess.

The release is out today and you can order the 7-inch here. Or, you can get the cassette here.

Meanwhile, you can stream the whole release on the band's Punknews.org Profile. You can click read more for tour dates.
