Agriculture to release new album, share “Bodhidharma” video

Agriculture have announced that they will be releasing a new album. It is called The Spiritual Sound and will be out on October 3. The band has also released a video for their new song “Bodhidharma” which features footage from Jaque Rabie’s Yokoji: Life at an American Zen Center and was edited by Jimmy Whispers. Agriculture released their album Living Is Easy in 2024. Check out the video and tracklist below.

Burner record Incorrect Thoughts sessions

Burner have recorded two Incorrect Thoughts live sessions. They performed “Climb” and “Pressure” from their 2024 album Become Nothing. The videos were filmed by Chris Forrest, Tyler O'Brien, and Courtney Forrest at Sugar Shack Studios in London, Ontario. Kyle Ashbourne recorded and mixed the music. Check out the videos below.

Polaris Music Prize announces 2025 Short List

The Polaris Music Prize has announced 2025’s 10-album Short List. Bibi Club’s Feu de grade, Lou-Adriane Cassidy’s Journal d’un Loup-Garou, Marie Davidson’s City of Clowns, Saya Gray’s SAYA, Yves JarvisAll Cylinders, NemahsisVerbathim, The OBGMsSORRY, IT’S OVER, Population II’s Maintenant Jamais, and Ribbon Skirt’s Bite Down were voted on by the 205 person jury. The Long List was announced last month. The winner of the Polaris Music Prize will be announced at the Polaris Concert and Award Show on September 16 at Massey Hall in Toronto, Ontario. JER: “Capitalism Breeds Devastation”

JER has released a video for their new song “Capitalism Breeds Devastation”. The video was filmed by Rae Mystic and was edited by JER. The song is off their upcoming album Death of the Heart, which will be out on August 15 via Bad Time Records. JER will be touring Japan with Kill Lincoln in early October and will be playing some US shows with Omnigone later that month. They released their debut album BOTHERED/UNBOTHERED in 2022.
